Leiden University Minerva Scholarship Fund 2025 in Netherlands

Leiden University, Netherlands, is offering the Minerva Scholarship Fund for the year 2025 to all international students pursuing Undergraduate or Master’s degrees from Leiden University. The scholarship has a cap of between 900 and 2000 euros.

The MSF supports projects in association with Leiden University’s seven faculties: Archaeology, Law, Medicine, Mathematics and Natural  Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences, and Governance and Global Affairs.

International students can use the Minerva scholarship fund to apply for research projects worldwide. The fund provides a golden opportunity to gain global experience in their field, collaborate with other researchers internationally, conduct research, attend international conferences and internships, and do fieldwork. The scholarship also pays for international travel and living expenses.

Students must enroll full-time in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree at Leiden University. The students are responsible for submitting a complete application with a duly structured and demonstrated research proposal. The allocation committee will evaluate all the applications. The more relevant the research proposal is in terms of its contribution to the advancement of academic knowledge, the better the chances of winning this whopping scholarship!

The Leiden Minerva Student Association established the Minerva Scholarship Fund (MSF) in 2009. MSF provides funding opportunities to ambitious students studying at the University of  Leiden for academic projects abroad. MSF makes sure the fund directly benefits students through transparency and accessibility.
