Federal Government and Labor Congress agree on N70,000 Minimum Wage

The leaders of the organised Labour unions have arrived state house for continuation of talks with President Bola Tinubu over the prospective new minimum wage.

Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC president, Joe Ajaero, and his Trade Union Congress, TUC counterpart, Festus Osido led the Labour unions representatives to the state house this Thursday afternoon.

Similar meeting was held last week after which the Labour leaders demanded for a week to consult with their organs.

As at last week, the federal government was still insisting on the sixty-two thousand naira while the Labour pushed for two hundred and fifty thousand naira as the new minimum wage.
