Are you curious about Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) and looking for a way to break into the field? The AWS AI & ML Scholarship Program, in partnership with Udacity, is here to help! Every year, this program offers 2,500 Udacity Nanodegree scholarships, along with mentorship, to students from underserved or underrepresented communities in tech.

What’s Covered?
The scholarship covers the full tuition for a Udacity Nanodegree program. You’ll start from scratch and work your way up, learning the ins and outs of Machine Learning without needing any previous experience. It’s an amazing opportunity to explore AI and ML in a fun, approachable way!
Who Can Apply?
If you’re over 16, identify as underserved or underrepresented in tech, and are currently enrolled in high school or college, you’re eligible to apply (terms and conditions apply). No prior experience in machine learning, computer science, or even racing is needed! The program is open to anyone excited about learning ML through the fun concept of racing.
This scholarship is available worldwide, except where prohibited by law.
How to Qualify
To prequalify for the scholarship, there are two simple steps you need to complete using the AWS DeepRacer Student platform:
- Review coursework and pass assessments: You’ll need to score 80% or higher on the assessments, which are based on lessons in the AWS DeepRacer Student platform.
- Achieve a minimum lap time: From March to September, there’s a new race track each month in the AWS DeepRacer Student League. You just need to complete a single lap in under 2 minutes to qualify!
