About the Event
The United Nations Youth Townhall 2026 is the inaugural global youth gathering organized by the UN Youth Office. Taking place in Heidelberg, Germany, the event brings together over 1,000 young leaders, grassroots advocates, government officials, UN representatives, civil society actors, and private sector stakeholders to foster intergenerational trust and advance global youth engagement.
The summit serves as a collaborative space to transform dialogue into concrete policies and youth-led action across sustainable development, human rights, peace, and technology.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for funded participation, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:

Age: Between 18 and 35 years old at the time of the event (December 2026).

Engagement: Actively involved in grassroots, local, national, regional, or international youth-led initiatives, organizations, or movements.

Language: Comfortable communicating and contributing in English (IELTS/TOEFL test scores are not required).

Availability: Fully available to attend all summit sessions in Germany (8–10 December 2026) and participate in preparatory and follow-up activities.
Fully Funded Coverage & Benefits
Selected international participants will receive complete financial support, including:

Round-Trip Travel: Full economy airfare from home country to Germany.

Daily Allowance: Daily Subsistence Allowance (DSA) based on standard UN rates.

Terminal Expenses: Allowance covering local transit to and from airports.
