About the Program
The Federal Ministry of Education, in partnership with the National Teachers’ Institute (NTI) and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), has launched the Accelerated Teacher Professional Pathway (ATPP).
This strategic initiative provides active, non-professional classroom teachers with a streamlined opportunity to obtain formal teaching qualifications, strengthen their pedagogical skills, and advance toward full professional teaching recognition without leaving the classroom.
Who Can Apply?
The ATPP program is open to educators currently teaching in public, private, or non-state schools across Nigeria, including:

Non-professional teachers holding non-education Bachelor’s degrees.

Teachers holding Higher National Diploma (HND), National Diploma (ND), or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) qualifications.

Educators in Early Childhood Care Development Education (ECCDE), Primary, Secondary, and TVET settings.

Instructors and volunteer educators in non-formal and alternative learning centers.
