For the 2024 Novembre Numerique, festival of digital cultures, the Alliance Française in partnership with Fallohide Africa, invites intermediate-level experienced creatives in the film, XR, or immersive media industries to an Immersive Futures workshop led by extended reality (XR) experts from France and Kenya. The Immersive Futures Lab is supported by the French Government’s Creation Africa project and the Institut Français.
Requirements
- Have intermediate-level experience in the film, XR, or immersive media industries.
- Are from backgrounds in cinema, graphic design, or technology.
- Are actively engaged in the XR/immersive tech community in Kenya.
- Are eager to collaborate on innovative projects using immersive technologies.
Workshop Highlights
- Learn from industry experts in immersive storytelling and XR production.
- Hands-on experience with cutting-edge XR tools, including 360° video capture and Meta Quest headsets.
- Gain insights into the global XR market and practical knowledge on navigating the industry’s legal and technical challenges.
