Applications are now open for the William Davidson Institute Entrepreneurship Exchange Programme.
The Entrepreneurship Exchange program brings together students from Egypt, Libya, Morocco, and the U.S., in small teams to identify market opportunities and develop business concepts that address real-world needs.

Through this virtual certificate program, participants will gain practical experience in civic-minded entrepreneurship, working together over eight weeks to identify a challenge from one of their countries and develop a business solution to the issue.

Program dates:

  • Cohort 1: September 22–November 21
  • Cohort 2: Mid-January to mid-March 2026
  • Cohort 3:  mid-April to mid-June 2026

Requirements

The application is open to undergraduate students from: 

  • Libya
  • Morocco – Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane
  • The University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses; Wayne State University; Michigan State University; and Eastern Michigan University

Pitch competition:

The program culminates in a video pitch competition. After all three cohorts are complete, winning teams will join four live sessions with University of Michigan Lecturer Eric Fretz, who is known for his energetic, hands-on approach to entrepreneurship and student development. They will also receive a personalized coaching package consisting of 4 virtual sessions with international coach Victoria Hädler.
