Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an international, private, non-governmental, non-profit humanitarian organization. We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Supply Activity Supervisor
Location: Talata Mafara, Zamfara
Employment Type: Contract; 10 Months Definite Contract (with the possibility of renewal)
Main Objective and Responsibility of the position
- Planning and supervising the execution of supply activities in the project for one or more areas of the supply programme
- Warehouse, Procurement, Transport and Customs, etc.) according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure
- the optimal functioning of the mission
General Accountabilities
- Ensuring an effective running of the supply activities in the project on a day-to-day basis as specified by the line manager, ensuring compliance to MSF standards, protocols and procedures.
- Planning and supervising the execution of the warehouse and stock management activities in the project or capital
- ensuring sufficient stock for the effective functioning of the supply activity to avoid stock ruptures, losses and excess stocks in the project/mission
- Controlling and monitoring the medical and non-medical stocks and assets and ensuring that storage is carried out under optimum conditions.
- Planning and supervising the procurement activities in the project ensuring an efficient and on-time purchasing
- Planning and supervising the execution of all activities related to the efficient clearance, shipment and transportation of medical and non-medical goods.
- Communicating with customers, keeping them up to date concerning their order status and prioritizing procurement and transport according to their needs
- Supervising, in close coordination with the HR department, the associated processes (recruitment, training/induction, evaluation, potential detection, development and communication) of the staff under his/her responsibility to ensure the sizing and amount of knowledge required
- Performing delegated tasks according to his/her specialty and as specified in his/her job description
MSF Section/Context-Specific Accountabilities
General:
- Perform with the Supply Manager the market survey and renew the contract with suppliers for consumables service providers.
- Ensure there is always capacity to bring in new local suppliers by constantly assessing the market.
- Elaborate contracts for suppliers and service providers according to MSF procedures, policies and standards.
- Ensure that all archives and supply documents are filed according to MSF standards
Data Management:
- Perform checks of the Database to ensure consistent Assists the supervisor in identifying any items at risk of rupturing or expiring – referring to the UNIFIELD database
Reporting duties:
- Identify, in close relation with the Supply Manager and the Supplier and according to the UNIFIELD database, potential stock risks (expiring, security level stock).
- Provide the Order Overview for the project
- Prepare UNIFIELD Stock Management Report, LRS/ Supply and other reports
- Complete the online report LRS/ Supply and the Supply Narrative/ SITREP each month
- Prepare the TSR_Analysis and participate in the meeting with the Medical Team every month and implement the related action points and recommendations from the Supply Coordination
- Supervise, elaborate the objectives, coach, train and evaluate the work performances of the staff under his/her responsibilities.
Requirements

- 2 years in MSF Logistics Department or at least 3 years experience with an INGO, previous experience in supply chain activities related jobs
Languages:
- Mission language essential ( English), local language desirable
Knowledge:
- Computer Literacy: Mandatory good Excel Skills
