Supervisor: Director of Program Management

Basic Functions

  •  Under the supervision of the Director of Program Management the Program Officer will provide program management support and coordination in planning, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of assigned project activities.
  • S/He will support in business analytics and proposal writing, preferably in a corporate or non-profit setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Director of Program Management to provide support to and coordinate assigned FHI 360 Nigeria activities in accordance with the respective donor guidelines and regulations.
  • Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities based on analytics and market research.
  • Expertise in business analytics with strong proposal writing skills, experience in business intelligence with strong project management skills and proficiency in use of business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) and writing tools.
  • Work with the DPM in managing annual workplans and budgets, coordinate pipelines review meetings and other project related meetings and ensure that minutes from meetings are regularly updated for use by the program.
  • Support in graphic designing of FHI 360 products using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other international packages.
  • Remain informed on current development, humanitarian and research activities across the broad spectrum of FHI 360 work in Nigeria.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • BS / BA in Business Communications, international Cooperation, Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences or its recognized equivalent with 5 – 7 years of relevant experience with international development or humanitarian program.
  • MS / MA Degree in Business Communication, International Cooperation Health Sciences, Behavioral Sciences or its recognized equivalent with 3 – 5 years relevant experience with international development or humanitarian program.
  • Expertise in business analytics with strong proposal writing skills, experience in business intelligence with strong project management skills and proficiency in use of business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL) and writing tools.
  • Skilled in word processing and graphic design software packages, preferably MAC-based software, such as Adobe Web/Design Collection, Final Cut Pro, Maya 3D
  • Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is required.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Excellent analytical, critical enquiry, report writing, communication as well as program management skills.
  • Working knowledge of major donor policies (USAID, CDC, etc) as well as other Private for-profit organizations currently funding or likely to fund development work in Nigeria.
  • Proven experience in business analytics and proposal writing, preferably in a corporate or non-profit setting.
  • Skilled in word processing and graphic design software packages, preferably PC-based software, such as Quark, Quark Express, Page Maker, and Microsoft Publisher desirable.
  • Interact with diplomacy and tact and follow-up on requests in timely and efficient manner.
  • Experience in online communications including developing and implementing online strategies (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, You Tube, etc) and maintaining websites.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Sensitivity to cultural differences and understanding of the political and ethical issues on a broad array of program subjects.
  • Interact with diplomacy and tact and follow-up on requests in timely and efficient manner and excellent ability to work within and across teams and ensure cohesion in a multi-dimensional program portfolio.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize own work under tight deadlines, as well as to work on own initiative and as a member of a team.
