Forward in Action for Education, Poverty and Malnutrition (FAcE-PaM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of the vulnerable. We are recruiting a qualified Nutrition and Health Technical Officer for a contract position to support our CASCADE-CARE Project in Kebbi State.

This role is critical for delivering healthier diets and increasing resilience for women and children in Kebbi and Jigawa states.

About the Role

As the Nutrition and Health Technical Officer, you will be responsible for the technical and operational implementation of nutrition-specific/sensitive programs. You will work on the ground to promote maternal and child nutrition, provide technical support to community structures, and ensure the effective delivery of comprehensive nutrition services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program Implementation: Plan, implement, and monitor nutrition activities with an emphasis on maternal, infant, and young child nutrition (MIYCN).
  • Community Engagement: Strengthen external stakeholder and community engagement to improve nutrition programming and facilitate access to services at Primary Health Care Centres.
  • Capacity Building: Strengthen the capacity of community structures and provide guidance, coaching, and training to the team on quality nutrition service provision.
  • Data & Reporting: Summarize nutrition data, conduct analysis, and prepare timely monthly and quarterly reports to support program reviews.
  • Coordination: Support quarterly and monthly coordination meetings with local government committees and other health actors.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance in the review of nutrition guidelines and support the integration of social and behavioral change communication activities.

Requirements

  • University Degree/HND in Nutrition and Dietetics, Public Health, MBBS, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in implementing a nutrition program.
  • A good experience in facilitation, supervision, and relevant data analysis.
  • Fluency in both English and Hausa.
  • Strong competencies in integrity, teamwork, and problem-solving.
