Nigerian Correctional services Recruitment 2025 – 2026 Update – President Tinubu has approved the Recruitment of 5000 people into the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
The Nigerian Correctional Service is an arm of the Criminal Justice System domiciled in the Ministry of Interior.The Nigerian Correctional Service is a federal phenomenon. l.e there are no State Correctional Service in Nigeria. Every Custodial Center is a Federal Facility. The operation of the Service is supervised by the Ministry of Interior.
Just like every other Federal Ministry or Agency, the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has specific requirements for recruitment. Here are some general qualifications:
1. Citizenship: You must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.
2. Age: You must be between 18 and 30 years old.
3. Education:
a. Minimum: GCE Ordinary Level (SSCE/NECO) or its equivalent with at least five credits in not more than two sittings, including English and Mathematics.
b. Higher qualifications: ND, HND, or a degree may be required for some positions.
4. Physical and mental fitness: You must be physically and mentally fit for the duties involved.
