Borno Women Development Initiative (BOWDI) is a women-led, registered Nongovernmental, Non-profit Organization with its head office in Borno State, Nigeria. BOWDI has been active in Humanitarian and development activities in the Northeast, especially in education, peace-building, advocacy, food security, livelihood, and protection.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies that promote fairness, inclusivity, safeguarding, and staff well-being.
- Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes, ensuring diversity and equal opportunity.
- Oversee training and professional development initiatives for staff capacity building.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian labor laws, donor requirements, and internal HR policies.
- Manage payroll, benefits administration, and staff welfare programs.
- Provide HR support during project implementation and emergency responses.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and respect across all BOWDI teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s/MBA is an advantage).
- Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, ACIHRM, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years progressive HR experience, preferably within the NGO/humanitarian sector.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, donor compliance, safeguarding, and protection principles.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and cross-cultural communication skills.
