The University of Leicester is thrilled to introduce the Chevening-Leicester Partner Scholarship, a fantastic opportunity for students from Chevening-eligible countries to pursue their academic dreams in the UK.
This scholarship is the result of a unique collaboration between the UK Government’s Chevening Scholarship program and the University of Leicester. Since 2013, the University has proudly welcomed over 60 Chevening Scholars from across the globe, and it remains a dedicated member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
For the 2025-26 academic year, the Chevening-Leicester Partner Scholarship is offering two fully funded scholarships. This means you can focus entirely on your studies without worrying about finances.
As a recipient of the 2025 Chevening-Leicester Partner Scholarship, you’ll receive a return airfare, a full tuition fee waiver, a stipend to cover your living expenses, and additional allowances to ensure you have everything you need during your time at the University of Leicester.

Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for the Chevening-Leicester Partner Scholarship, you should:
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country.
- Apply for or be enrolled in a one-year taught Master’s program within the College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities or the School of Geography, Geology, and the Environment.
- Be starting your program in September 2025.
Additionally, you’ll need to meet the general Chevening requirements, which include:
- A commitment to returning to your home country for at least two years after completing your studies.
- An undergraduate degree that qualifies you for entry into a postgraduate program at a UK university.
- At least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
