Dharmasthala Scholarship Form

Dharmasthala Scholarship, also known as SKDRDP Scholarship or Sujananidhi Scholarship, is a program launched by Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) in Karnataka. The program aims to support students pursuing technical and professional courses lasting 2 to 5 years in the states of Karnataka and Kerala.

The scholarship provides a monthly stipend ranging from Rs. 400 to Rs. Rs.1000, depending on the course or degree pursued by the student and approved by the college or institute. Till this academic year, more than 72 thousand students pursuing technical and professional courses in the state of Karnataka have benefited from this initiative. The total scholarship amount distributed so far is Rs. 87 crores.

Dharmasthala Scholarship Eligibility

To be eligible for the Dharmasthala Scholarship, the applicant must fulfil the following requirements:

• The applicant must be a resident of Karnataka.
• The applicant’s parent must be a member of either the SKDRDP Self-Help Groups (SHG) or Pragathi Bandhu Group (PBG).
• The applicant should have completed classes 10 and 12 from a recognized board and must maintain a strong academic record.
• The applicant who is a beneficiary of this scholarship must be the child of an SHG/PBG member.
• The applicant must be enrolled in a technical or professional course such as MBA, BBA, etc.

• The applicant should come from a socially and economically backward section of society to be eligible for this scholarship.
• The applicant’s family income should be below a certain threshold.
