The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) has announced the launch of CHED Scholarships for eligible Filipinos for 2024-2025. CHED was created through the passage of Republic Act No. 7722 or the Higher Education Act of 1994.

CHED is an agency attached to the Office of the President for administrative purposes, headed by a Chairman and four Commissioners, each serving a four-year term. The Commission en banc acts as a collegial body in formulating plans, policies, and strategies related to higher education and the operation of CHED.

CHED Merit Scholarship Program for incoming college freshmen. CHED Scholarship 2024 – StufApps aims to assist authorized public or private higher education institutions (HEIs) students financially. This helps ensure that education is accessible to all, especially the disadvantaged and deserving children.

CHED Scholarship 2024 Benefits

Below we provide a list of the benefits of the CHED Scholarship 2024 –

  • Tuition and other school fees (TOSF)
  • Stipend per semester
  • Book/Connectivity allowance

The grant will be released directly to the scholars or through the HEI. Book/connectivity allowance per semester of a given academic year till completion of the degree program.

CHED Scholarship 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria that must be met by a student to apply for CHED Scholarship 2024:

  • Applicant must be a Filipino citizen;
  • He must be a high school student or high school graduate with a general weighted average (GWA) of at least 90%.
  • The student should belong to a particular group of persons e.g.
  • Underprivileged and homeless citizens under Republic Act (RA) No. 7279,
  • For Persons with Disabilities (PWD) under amended RA No. 7277,
  • Single parents and/or their dependents under RA 8371.
  • The applicant must avail of only one government-funded financial aid program.
  • He/she must enroll in courses as per the CHED Priority Programs list.

The CHED Scholarship is open to all eligible and deserving students selected from the following specialized groups:

  • Senior citizens
  • Hill tribe member
  • Member of a cultural minority
  • Persons with Disabilities (PWD)
  • Those who are disadvantaged or homeless
  • Single parents and their dependents

CHED Scholarship 2024 Priority Courses

You must enroll in recognized priority programs in Private Higher Education Institutions (PHEIs) or State Universities and Colleges (SUCs)/Local Universities or Colleges (LUCs) with a Program Compliance Certificate in the form of a CHED Scholarship.
