Omituntun Initiative in Diaspora (OID) has consistently demonstrated its commitment to Governor Seyi Makinde’s vision for youth empowerment and inclusive development in Oyo State.
This year, OID invites ambitious students and great thinkers to participate in the Seyi Makinde Annual Essay Competition 2025, focusing on innovation, sustainability, leadership, and citizen engagement.

Eligibility
To be considered for the OID Seyi Makinde Essay Competition, you:
- Must be a resident or indigene of Oyo State.
- Must be a student of any recognised institution in Nigeria.
- Must be between 18 and 35 years old.
Benefits
Winners of the OID Seyi Makinde Annual Essay Competition will be rewarded as follows;
- ₦1,000,000- First Prize
- ₦500,000-Second Prize
- ₦250,000-Third Prize
- Top 50 will receive scholarship for Leadership Academy Training + OID Global Participation Certificate.
