Apply Now: Mallam Zaki Fellowship – Cohort 2 (2025) Empowering the Next Generation of Changemakers in Bauchi State

The Mallam Zaki Fellowship is a transformative 5-month mentorship and capacity-building program open to all indigenes of Bauchi State.

It is designed to equip 30 outstanding young individuals annually with the tools and mindset needed to lead change in their communities.

This fellowship focuses on core areas including:

  • Leadership development
  • Effective communication
  • Advocacy and civic engagement
  • Community development
  • Digital content creation

Through this program, we aim to foster a generation of bold, skilled, and socially conscious youth leaders who will drive impactful change across Bauchi State.

Location:

Across all Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Bauchi State
(Including a one-week physical session in Azare)

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the Mallam Zaki Fellowship (Cohort 2), applicants must:

  • Be a verified indigene of Bauchi State
  • Be between the ages of 18 and 25 years
  • Show strong interest in community development, advocacy, and leadership
  • Demonstrate a commitment to making a positive impact in their local communities
  • Be willing to fully commit to the 5-month fellowship duration
  • Be able to dedicate at least 2 hours per week for virtual learning sessions
  • Be available for a one-week intensive, in-person training in Azare

Program Highlights

Successful applicants will participate in a dynamic, hands-on learning experience that includes:

  • Weekly Virtual Sessions
    (Interactive training and mentorship sessions held online — 2 hours weekly)
  • One-Week In-Person Bootcamp in Azare
    (Practical workshops on leadership, communication, community organizing, and digital advocacy)
  • Community Impact Projects
    (Fellows will be guided to initiate a small-scale project in their local area)
  • Ongoing Mentorship & Peer Networking
    (Build lifelong relationships with a network of changemakers and development leaders)
