The Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) invites applications from suitably qualified Nigerians for full-time appointments into the following cadres:
Superintendent Cadre
Chief Superintendent of Quarantine (CSO) – CONMESS 02
(Veterinary Doctors)
Minimum of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
Must possess NYSC discharge or exemption certificate
Deputy Superintendent of Quarantine (DSO) – CONRAISS 08
(Law)
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or relevant Master’s degree
NYSC discharge or exemption certificate required
Assistant Superintendent of Quarantine I (ASO I) – CONRAISS 07
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution
NYSC discharge certificate required
Inspectorate Cadre
Inspector of Quarantine (IQ I – IQ II) – CONRAISS 06
- General Duty
- Minimum of OND or NCE certificate from a recognized institution
Assistant Cadre
Quarantine Assistant (QA I – QA II) – CONRAISS 04
- Minimum of SSCE/NECO/GCE (O’Level)
- At least 5 credits (including English & Mathematics) in not more than 2 sittings
General Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be Nigerian by birth
- Possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN)
- Be medically fit (certificate from a government hospital required)
- Pass a drug test
- Have good character (no criminal record or cult affiliation)
- Be free from financial embarrassment
- Be computer literate
📏 Physical Requirements
- Minimum height:
- 1.65m (male)
- 1.55m (female)
- Minimum chest measurement (men): 0.87m
Applicants with serious physical or medical conditions (e.g., blindness, deafness, limb deformities, severe obesity, etc.) are not eligible.
Due to the physical nature of the exercise, pregnant women should not apply.

- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a Computer-Based Test (CBT)
- Dates and venues will be communicated accordingly
