Cultural Council (ECOSOCC), an advisory body established in 2004, invites applications for elections to its 4th Permanent General Assembly. ECOSOCC represents civil society organizations (CSOs) across AU Member States and the African diaspora, aiming for a diverse representation that includes social and professional groups.

The council consists of 154 CSOs: two from each Member State, along with regional, continental, and diaspora organizations. Under Article 4 of ECOSOCC’s statutes, membership elections emphasize gender balance and youth representation (50% of representatives aged 18-35). Members serve four-year terms, renewable once.
