The Lagos State judiciary has digitised its processes and introduced electronic affidavits which allows for the deposition of sworn statements online.

This system is part of the Lagos CoMiS (Lagos State Court Management Information System) and aims to streamline court processes.

E-affidavits created, signed, and notarized on the platform comply with legal requirements and are handled by authorized professionals within the judiciary.

Court fees associated with e-filing can be paid online through debit/credit cards, and alternative payment methods are also available.

A recent release by the Publicity Secretary, NBA Ikeja Branch, Kayode Agbedejobi, Esq., AICMC noted that: “Effective 1st June, 2025, all General Affidavits — including but not limited to Change of Name, Loss of SIM, Declaration of Age, etc. — must be generated exclusively via the Lagos Comis Platform: https://lagoscomis.lagosjudiciary.gov.ng
